Emil began his journey through game development as a writer. He spent his college years making short visual novels and learning about literary theory. Later on he pivoted to game design and built up his skills through 10+ game jams, board game prototypes, and small projects. He also explored solo development, prototyping his own game ideas from the ground up.
In 2018, Emil joined the production of the Ministry of Broadcast as a level designer. He fell in love with this craft, and he’s been deeply committed to it ever since.
Throughout his career, he made levels for 2D puzzle platformers, top-down Zelda-like adventure games, underwater stealth offerings, third person multiplayer shooters, and is currently working as a mission designer for the ARMA series.
In recent years, Emil has focused on sharing his experience through teaching, mentorship, and consultations. This course brings together his hands-on knowledge of level design, informed by years of practice across diverse genres and disciplines.
