Bind your very own journal / sketchbook.

The Course Includes:

  • 3 Live Sessions
  • Lecture Recordings
  • Feedback on Your Creation
  • No Homework Required

Requirements:

A desire to observe and take notes to improve your ability to record your creative process, take technical notes and mix them with thoughts, ideas and visuals from your day-to-day life.

This course is ideal for:

  • Game Developers and Designers
  • Artists, Musicians, Creatives
  • Anyone who needs to record their thoughts for later
The course starts by looking at journals from various artists and how they have been used, before instructing you on making a soft cover journal / sketchbook for your own usage. Following that, a lesson on how to use your new journal to make observations and ideas will round things up.

From fold-out sections, to books made of processed American cheese, bookbinding has taken many forms across time. We won’t be using cheese to make any books, but I’ll show you both how to bind your own books from any kind of paper, and how to use it effectively to take down your ideas and observations.

No artist should be without their sketchbook or journal, and with this course you can ensure that the sketchbook you have is definitively yours.
Skills developed: Note taking, book binding, making and using an artist's sketchbook, creating and creatively using a journal
